PERSONAL LIFE

Mahira Hafeez Khan also known as Mahira Khan was born on 21st December 1984 in Karachi, Pakistan. She is one of the top actresses of Pakistan who needs no introduction.Mahira belongs to Karachi, an urdu speaking Pathan and has a brother who is a journalist. She studied in Karachi from Foundation Public School and did O-Levels at the age of 16 then moved to California for higher education where she attended Santa Monica College. She enrolled in University of Southern California for her Bachelor’s degree but never completed it and came to Pakistan where she joined showbiz industry.Mahira married “Ali Askari” though, her family didn’t wanted her to. The couple has a son together “Azlaan Askari” born in 2009. The couple had differences but Mahira sensibly put everything under wraps and didn’t make her private matters a public affair. Things however did not work in her favor and the couple got divorced in 2015.

FILM CAREER

She made her big screen debut opposite Atif Aslam in “Bol”. After that Mahira did “Bin Roye” which was a commercial success. She also won Lux Style Award and HUM Awards for best actress for it. After “Bin Roye” she was seen in “Ho Mann Jahan” along side Adeel Hussain and Shehryar Munawar. Mahira played Manizeh a passionate singer. She also received Best Actress Award at Lux for “Ho Mann Jahan”. Mahira then got her Bollywood debut opposite Shahrukh Khan in “Raees”.She started her career as a VJ on MTV Pakistan she hosted a show named “Most Wanted” but, later shifted towards acting. Mahira Khan is one of the highest paid actresses in our country after working for Bollywood in “Raees”.

RECOGNITION AND AWARDS:

Mahira has received many awards in her career for best actress for dramas, best actress for film, HUM Awards, most stylish actress awards from Lux Style Awards, HUM Style Awards, Pakistan Media Awards, Vogue Beauty Awards and Masala Awards. In 2017 she was also honored with the International Recognition and Best dress at Beirut International Awards Festival.
